Safety standard!


February 17-18 at Interpipe NMPP passed the audit of health and safety of employees. Auditors TUV THURINGEN conducted a thorough check in the subdivisions of the enterprise to meet the requirements of OHSAS 18001: 2007 (OHSAS 18001). The audit Interpipe NMPP received confirmation of compliance of occupational safety and health of employees in accordance with the international standard.

Standard OHSAS 18001: 2007 is an international standard that applies to management systems occupational health and safety (OH & S). OHSAS 18001 is a standard based on the audited Management Systems Occupational Safety and Health.

- The company annually allocates more than 1 million. UAH. the implementation of measures aimed at protecting workers and improving the safety of their work. We've worked hard to bring the system of OSH management at the enterprise level to the international standard. Now Interpipe NMPP among companies with an effective OSH management system, safety and health of workers - said the head of the department of labor Vladimir Moiseenko.

- The organization that developed and implemented in a system based on the principles of OHSAS 18001: 2007, reduces the risk of being fined, the risk of being legal liability and litigation in the event of work-related injuries, occupational diseases and accidents. All this Interpipe NMPP can avoid using the correct implementation and maintenance of the Management System for Occupational Safety and Health - says chief auditor Olga Lavrentiev.

To achieve compliance with the requirements of OHSAS 18001 Interpipe NMPP had work to develop common rules, rules for development of normative documents which describes how to create, implement and maintain the integrity of the management system of occupational safety and health of employees. This standard defines clear guidelines stipulating the implementation of the scheme: Plan, act, controls and takes the necessary steps.

According to the standard Interpipe NMPP effectively evaluates its production and its impact on the health and safety of all employees, sets clear goals and objectives, aimed at implementing and improving the standard set of indicators.

Certificates of management system of occupational safety and health, in accordance with the requirements of OHSAS 18001 are valid for three years, of course, subject to annual surveillance audits. Interpipe NMPP successfully passed the second supervisory audit.

OHSAS - a system of certification, which combines the requirements of OHSAS 18001, ILO - OSH (International Labour Organization (International Labour Organization - ILO) - Guidelines on occupational Safety and Health Management Systems (ILO / OSH 2001)) and the requirements of national standards. The international standard OHSAS 18001: 2007 was developed with the active participation of national standards bodies in countries such as the UK, Japan, Ireland, South Africa.
